Christ Episcopal Church

Christ Church began in 1855 on Rochester's eastern edge. Construction began immediately of a church on land bought from a nursery on East Avenue. The first service in the new brick building was on Christmas Day 1855. The 1894 church interior was designed by English architect Robert Gibson and decorated with Tiffany mosaics and stained glass.

Over the last 15 years, Holdsworth Klimowski Construction (HKC) has completed various phases of a Master Renovation Plan that has included exterior masonry restoration, roof repairs, copper gutter replacement, and repairs to ornate interior plaster and custom wood work. HKC has also made structural repairs to maintain the historic building's integrity and to preserve the bell tower.

At Holdsworth Klimowski, we have the experience to plan, manage, and successfully complete renovations to historic buildings. We know the importance of, and social responsibility to, projects of this architectural significance.
