Monroe Community Hospital

Monroe Community Hospital (MCH) is a county-owned, 566-bed residential health care facility providing quality long-term care to individuals with complex or chronic health conditions. It is home to residents of all ages, from infants as young as eight weeks to adults more than one hundred years old.

Holdsworth Klimowski Construction (HKC) has completed two major projects for MCH totaling more than $4 million. In the Crossover Building, we conducted masonry restoration, reconstructed a parapet wall, and completely re-pointed the building. Our experience in historic preservation was key to renovations to the main floor in the reconstruction of ornate plaster arches and sculptures, and the installation of pre-cast concrete & brick, arched and radius structures that needed to match the historic, Romanesque Revival exterior. Many areas required high-end finishes including mosaic tile, terrazzo floors, and custom fypon fabrication.

At Holdsworth Klimowski, we have the experience to plan, manage, and successfully complete renovations to historic, municipal buildings. We know the importance of, and social responsibility to, projects of this architectural significance.
